"Entertainment" David Foster Wallace

It's been almost 1.5 years since the last time I made one of these. It's been almost 1.5 years since I said I would move on and not make any more of these.
But other outlets were simply not as enjoyable and creatively fullfilling. So here we are: the first of three.

As a fan of technology criticism, I am drawn to his words about television and entertainment. The interview dates to 2003 but he might as well speak to the internet, content, and feeds. Equally revelant today. While Pamela Anderson doesn't run on beautiful beaches anymore, her legacy and current equivalents do.

The ZDF interview is filled with such thoughtful ideas. Its unedited nature is a challange I wanted to play with through animation. What if I work with a narration that's not pre-written? What if we see how the sentences are being made? Pulled in from nothing and put together from previous sentences. Abound with false-starts, long pauses, and stumbles - instead of polish and defined structure.
